Last week the Rotary Club of Glenwood Springs awarded college scholarships to five very deserving graduating seniors from Glenwood Springs High School. They were recognized for their dedication to academic success and their demonstrated commitment to making a positive impact in Glenwood Springs and beyond.
The recipients, who represent promising young people of the community, were selected following a rigorous evaluation process. Thank you to the scholarship committee members for their discerning work - Charlene Revoir, John Wells, Pat Peel, and Heather Exby; it was tough to select only five! Each will receive $2500 to assist them in their educational expenses. The recipients are:
- Ty Hesse in recognition of his stellar academic record and commitment to the outdoors.
- Kalin Loeffler for his dedication to a community-connected career pathway (firefighting). / In honor of The Riviera.
- Thomas “Quinn” McSwain whose commitment to service echoed that of Rotary.
- Antonia Perez Martinez in recognition of her vibrant tenacity and commitment to service above self. / In honor of the Bluebird Cafe.
- Jacob Robbie for his youth-focused community engagement.
“We are thrilled to support this diverse group of students as they pursue their dreams of higher education,” said Club President, Nick Adams. “Their hard work and dedication inspire us all, and we are confident they will achieve great things in the years ahead.” We will invite them to an upcoming meeting so we can meet and congratulate them.
