Save the date for this special outdoor picnic dinner. Bring your own food and chairs, we'll provide the tables! Let’s celebrate community and dine together as neighbors, family, and friends. After sunset, stay for a free outdoor documentary screening of "Join or Die: Why You Should Join a Club".

Check in as early as 3:30 p.m. to claim which table you would like – first come first serve. Bring your own chairs and food. No alcohol permitted per City ordinance.

About the Movie

"Join or Die", is a documentary based on the ground-breaking research of social scientist Robert Putnam, author of "Bowling Alone", that promotes community connections as an answer to our democracy's present crisis. Join your neighbors - old and new - for this thought-provoking film! 

Parking and Transportation

Please consider walking, biking or taking the bus to the event. Public parking is available in the 9th and Cooper parking garage, in the 7th Street lot or in the City Hall parking lots after 5 PM. Street parking is extremely limited.

The nearest bus stop is 9th Street and Grand Avenue.
