127 years of Strawberry Days tradition continued with the parade. While Rotary wasn't involved from the beginning, the parade and pancake breakfast have become a big part of Strawberry Days. It has been a long standing tradition to participate in the parade and promote our pancake breakfast. I am sure Jerry Hammer or Floyd Diemoz could tell us when the Rotary tradition began.  With over 400 donated tickets to the Pancake Breakfast being handed out at the parade, I am sure spectators were happy to see the Rotarians coming by.

Steve Swanson showed up with his vintage truck pulling our grill. Debbie Wilde and crew decorated the float/trailer and Brad Plantz had his son on the trailer playing drums.

Personally, I did not see much of the parade in motion as Becky and I helped stage and judge the floats. We were then responsible for picking up after the parade. All indications were that things went well and every ticket was handed out.

Next year, I think we should decorate and enter the parade contest for nonprofits. With our talented crew, we are sure to be competitive.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the parade possible.
